Stir Fry Red & Yellow Peppers with Beef...

1 red pepper
1 yellow pepper
200g beef fillet
2 tbs vegetable oil
3 tbs soy sauce
3 tbs sake
1 tsp sugar
2 tsp oyster sauce and freshly ground black pepper

For Beef Marinade
1/3 tsp salt
1 tbs sake
1 free range egg beaten.GIF
3 tbs cornflour

Procedure
Cut d pepper into quarters and remove d white membrane inside d peppers. Slice into thin strips,cut d beef into thin strips. Mix all d ingredient for d marinade in a bowl and add d beff to absorb d flavor for 10 minutes.
Heat d wok or frying pan and add d veg.oil. Stir fry d peppers for 3 mins. Add d beff and cook for further 5 mins. Lower d heat, sprinkle over d sugar and drizzle d soy sauce and sake around d edge of d wok. Add d oyster sauce and season with black pepper mix well and serve. Good with a bowl of rice yumyum.GIF. note: tsp teaspoon

This recipe is an adaptation of a Traditional chinese recipe which originally use bamboo shoot and green pepper. But here it change to yellow & red peppers 2 encourage ur kidz to eat coz of its attractive colors. Both red and yellow varieties have twice as much vitamin C as green one. Vit.C is good for skin and help d body frm tiredness eating.GIF *

Seared Tuna Steak with Daikon Dressing

4 slice tuna steak (each weighing 100-200g and 2 and half cm thick each)
1 tbs veg.oil
handful of wild rockets leaves
8 pcs chives finely chop

For Marinade;
100 ml soy sauce
50 ml sake
2 tbs rice vinegar
2 garlic cloves peeled and grated.

For d dressing:
4 tbs grated daikon (japan white raddish)
4 tsp lemon juice
4 tbs soy sauce
Mix all d ingredients for d marinade and marinate d tuna steaks 4 at least 30 mins. Take d steaks out of d marinade and pat them dry with kitchen paper.
Heat a griddle pan over a moderate heat. Brush d steaks with veg.oil or olive oil. Cook on one side fo 2mins, then turn over and cook d other side for 1-2 mins.dnt ovrcooked them.
For d daikon dressing, mix d daikon with d lemon juice and and soy sauce.
Transfer d steak to an individual serving plates and arrange d dressing and a few rocket leaves over them. Garnish with chop chives.

Tips:
The robust taste of Tuna needs an accompaniment that will counterbalance it and a b*ttery avocado makes a very good partner. *

Tempura Prawn Roll

INGREDIENTS

24 pcs large or tiger prawn, (peeled but with tail intact)
2 sheets of nori (dry seaweds)
seasoned rice sushi
sunflower oil or any oil u have n d house (for frying] [b]
TEMPURA BATTER
1 egg
1 tbs, lemon juice
150 ml iced water
60g flour
24 pcs bamboo skewers
For seasoned rice sushi u can used whole grain rice or best if there is available japanese rice in ur place coz dis is sticky and best for making sushi. Just cook n a rice cooker when its cooked put in a big bowl seasoned with salt or sometimes can sprinkle sessame seeds black/white in other kind of sushi. Later i will post a real seasoned rice sushi.

PROCEDURE: Fill a large with oil and heat.
Tread each prawn onto a skewer to strainghten it when u fry.

To make batter put egg yolk, lemon juice and iced water in a bowl. Whisk gently,then whisk in the flour to form a smooth batter. Do not overmix.

Dip each prawn into d batter and fry for 1/2 mins until crisp and golden. Drain in a crumpled kitchen paper towel. Remove d skewers gently.
Cut d nori (dry seaweds) in half crossway and into 3 cm strips. Spread 1 tbs of sushi rice over each piece of nori top with a tempura prawn. Roll to secure d filling. Brush d nori with water to help it stick if necessary. Serve wacko.GIF *
